Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals Game Summary

In this struggle din, the most important part was the Seahawks’ defense, particularly cornerback Coby Bryant, who turned the game around by picking off a pass from Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray and running it back 69 yards for a touchdown. There was dominant presence on the pitch by defensive lineman Leonard Williams, who had 2.5 sacks and was constantly putting pressure on Murray. Smith started the game by connecting with his wide receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and throwing a 3 yard pass for a touchdown. This was the first offensive touchdown scored by the Seahawks in three weeks, and the Cardinals have severe limitations on defense. The defensive efforts of the Seahawks minimized the Cardinals to 298 total yards and they managed to rush for just 49 yards.

For this match, the focus for the Seahawks was the offense and boy did it pay off. Running back Zach Charbonnet played the best he ever has recording over 130 rushing yards alongside 2 touchdowns. His performance was backed up by sturdy quarter back play from Geno Smith who managed to throw 1 touchdown and 24 out of 30 passes for 233 yards. Furthermore, the Seahwaks defense maintained constant pressure on Cardinals kyler Murray resulting in 2 first quater interceptions which quickly turned to touchdowns setting the rhythm and pace for the entire match. The Cardinals could not recover from the deficit, even with Murray throwing for 259 yards and scoring two touchdowns.

Conclusion

In the two games played in the 2024 season between the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals, it was evident that the matchup was heavily tilted in favor of the Seattle Seahawks in terms of defending capabilities and attacking productivity. The Seahawks were able to contain Kyler Murray while Geno Smith and Zach Charbonnet were able to take advantage of the Cardinals’ shortcomings. These wins proved pivotal for the Seahawks during the season and rang home their supremacy of the NFC West rivalry.
